    In-person Classes

    In-person classes generally begin each semester during the first week August and January. Each semester is scheduled for approximately 18 calendar weeks. This includes 16 scheduled "work" weeks including break weeks such as spring/fall break or holiday break weeks. 

    All In-person classes are held in and around the greater Knoxville, TN US area.  Check the upcoming class list for availability in your area.


    Online Classes

    Online course are offered in both self-paced and class-paced options.

    Self-paced

    Self-paced courses can be started at any time and can be completed at your own pace.  The course is available for 12 months from the time you begin.

    Summer Classes

    Condensed online summer courses are also available which run for 8-10 weeks. Between June and July.

    Tutoring

    Online tutoring sessions available from $20 1/2 hour.


    High-School Credit

    High School credit is available for courses taken when enrolled through Axis Academy.

Available courses

HTML, CSS & JavaScript in easy steps instructs the reader on each of the three coding languages that are used to create modern web pages: HyperText Markup Language (HTML) tags are used to control the structure of web page content; Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) rules are used to determine how web page content appears; and JavaScript functions are used to provide web page interactivity.

Workplace Software and Skills is designed to flexibly support a range of courses covering computer literacy, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite applications. The textbook covers both hard and soft skills that are applicable to a broad range of academic majors and careers. Chapters combine studio learning and guided practice with scaffolded activities designed to reinforce a student’s ability to perform higher-order tasks independently. Workplace Software and Skills leverages complementary product features in spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, and similar applications. Modules are designed for maximum flexibility by including both Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite applications, in order to best reflect the skills needed for today’s workforce. Authentic activities and real-world contexts develop a cumulative and thorough understanding, which reinforces the importance of cross-platform proficiency. Highly visible features also note Apple/Mac functions as needed.

Elementary Algebra 2e is designed to meet scope and sequence requirements for a one-semester elementary algebra course. The text expands on the fundamental concepts of algebra while addressing the needs of students with diverse backgrounds and learning styles. Each topic builds upon previously developed material to demonstrate the cohesiveness and structure of mathematics.

This course contains instructions for installing and using various software and utilities used to complete the courses found in this portal.

Using the parent portal is an overview course for parents. Parents will sign up (enroll themselves) in this course as if they were a "student" to view this quick tutorial on getting your student(s) connected to the courses and using the parent portal to monitor activity and grades.
